Summer wishes and Summer lovin

Oh how I love Summer! I could spend everyday at the beach! When Altenew released their Summer Wishes, Stamp, Stencil and Die Set, I was in love ! I was inspired by the mini inspiration guide and wanted to create a card that reminded me of sitting on the beach by the waves.

To create this card, I began using an A2 card base trimming off 1/4 inch on each side and placing on an A2 card front after completing the card.

I then placed a piece of masking tape about 1/3 up from the bottom of the card and blended shades of Delectable Delights Ink Shades. Next, I created my interpretation of waves by blending shades of Ocean Blue and Turquoise Inks. on the mid section of the card. I took torn pieces of paper to mask the waves.

Making the chair/umbrella allowed me to use my creative side! I stamped the image using Obsidean Black Ink, then used shades of green valley to blend in the chair and umbrella. The pattern of the umbrella was created with the Henna Square Stencil and adding polka dots with an alcohol ink marker. The hat was shaded with Pinkalicious Crisp Dye Ink. What's summer without flip flops? This cutie was created with a light shade of Pinkalicious Ink and a touch of polka dots! I then used a bit of foam tape to pop up the flops! Hope you enjoyed the card! Till next time, HUGS!
