Easy Die Cutting Techniques

Want to gain more use out of your die cuts? And make a quick and easy card? Well then you have come to the right post! I am going to focus on Altenew's Radial Butterflies Cover Die! Using this one cover die, I will show you how to create 3 different cards. For card one, I die cut the Radial Butterflies Cover Die on plain white cardstock thru the Sizzix Big Shot. Once cut, I used the image as a stencil. It's like using the negative space from your die cut...I laid the stencil on a piece of 4 x 5.25 piece of plain white card stock and starting from the top, blended Sea Breeze, Turquoise and Starlight Altenew Inks. From there I added a white die cut circle and cute little die cut wreath. A few pops of Bling and how cute the card turned out!

By using the die cut as a stencil, I was also left with the Positive Image of the Die Cut which I was able to use for Card #2! I softly blended Sea Breeze, Turquoise and Starlight inks, which by the way...Altenew's Inks blend so beautifully! For some dimension, I added a few of the cut out butterflies along with some White Satin Sequins!

Lastly, Card #3...using in laid technique! This Radial Butterfly Large Die Cut has many leftover parts, just perfect to create a whole new look! This last card will take a little time to make, but well worth it! Hope you enjoyed the post! Till next time! Bye!
